Storage requirements

Your screen recording memories may take a significant amount of disk storage. This is by design as your data never leaves your device. Ensuring maximum privacy.

In typical scenarios, Perfect memory will use around ~9 GB/month. To check your personal storage use navigate to the Perfect Memory application:

Storage is significantly affected by what type of work you do, display resolution and how you work on your device. Here are the most significant aspects that affect disk storage:

• Display resolution

  Typical monitor are classified as Full HD and 4K. With 4K displays taking around 3 times more in storage.

• Application size on screen

  Perfect Memory tracks what application you are working on. Having the application in fullscreen causes Perfect Memory to record the whole screen, leading to increased disk storage requirements

• Your workflow

  Certain actions can cause temporary disk usage spikes. For example, when switching between many windows and/or tabs in a browser Perfect Memory will increase the recording frequency to match your activity.
