Encryption

Perfect Memory generates a significant amount of sensitive data. As per our Privacy Policy. this data never leaves your device. The Windows operating system provides a base level of data encryption called Bitlocker. This uses advanced encryption to protect your disk data.

Perfect Memory offers you to additional layer of encryption to protect your memories. This encryption is independent of the system and is applied on top of the Bitlocker. This encryption uses state-of-the-art AES-256 algorithms in combination with Scrypt and DPAPI to protect the data and the sub-keys used to reconstruct decryption key.

To enable Perfect Memory encryption or to check your system Bitlocker settings open the Settings screen in Perfect Memory.

Managed (company-issued) devices

It is important to remember that company-issued devices always contain some level of control that can be exercised by your company's IT department. Enabling Encryption in Perfect Memory gives you additional control over your data as the only way to get access to your memories is to take over your User account.
