LM Studio setup

Here's how to setup LM Studio as an AI provider for Perfect Memory.

1. Install LM Studio

First we need to isntall LM Studio.

Go to the LM Studio page https://lmstudio.ai/download and download LM Studio installer. Run the installer and follow the prompts.

2. Verify

Download a model and say Hi to our new AI. Open the LM studio and navigate to Discover tab on the left. Now pick a model. We recomend to use at lease 8B models. Llama3.1 is a good starting point.

3. Setup Perfect Memory

Go to Perfect Memory and open Settings. In the AI group select LM Studio as a provider. Then expand the AI tab and select llama3.1 as a model. That's it. Now go back to Perfect Memory AI Assistant and try how it works.

This setup makes sure that all of your data never leaves you device. Making it perfect for sensitive information.
