How do I use Perfect Memory to prepare for my One-on-One meetings

Slack pinging? Email? PDFs? Jira comments? Being pulled in from many directions by different applications gets exhausting quickly. People are good and want to share their thoughts so we can all pull in one direction but it often feels like Babylon Tower: Each group speaks in their silo and communication gets lost.

Hi, am Darius and I am a Software engineer. As my career progressed, I found myself spending less time coding and more time on various support tasks. This included responsibilities that often required communication with multiple stakeholders while mentoring and leading a team of developers. This led to attending regular 1-on-1 meetings, where I wanted to share and discuss ideas, topics and situations. These topics typically came up from various sources like

  • Comments on a PR that warranted further discussion
  • Praising @person on a presentation she did
  • Having the @person name pop up in a list for next project
  • And many more including screen-shared presentations

Having the inputs come up from a wide spectrum of applications makes the work unnecessarily challenging.

Perfect Memory AI can help in these situations. I often search for people's names to see all the different instances where the person sends a Slack group message and private alike, email, or comments on an issue. This search also picks up when someone else mentions this person. Allowing me to see the more complete picture.

From this point is a quick walk through the conversations and mentions to understand what we talked about, what happened in the last week and what topics should I cover. I found myself reducing the preparation time to mere minutes. But the biggest benefit for me was freeing my hands during my day. I no longer need to meticulously track my interactions, organizing them by project, by people, or by groups. I can focus on the discussions and meetings.
